Competitions are an important tool for designers to continue improving their skills, making them confront ideas and objectives and win new commissions. Alessandro Caronia Architect has entered several international and national architecture and urban regeneration design competitions, either as sole architectural design practice or as team leader or team member.

Here is a selection of images of the most meaningful entries. Among them: the winning scheme of the International Ideas Competition for the Regeneration of the Historic Centre of Formigine (Modena) - ITALY, which has led to the current development of the detailed project, with on-site work due to start in November 2017; the winning scheme of the national (Italian) Ideas Competition for the Refurbishment and Extension of La Meridiana Club in Casinalbo di Formigine (Modena) - ITALY, which led to the Practice’s appointment for development of the subsequent design stages.
